Couple of good west coast games tonight bout to get underway. Huge series between Seattle and Oakland as well as Kershaw/Bumgarner in LA
Anybody know what the Yankees are thinking regarding Severino? He was absolutely dominant the first few months and has completely fallen off a cliff. The logical assumption is his increased work load and that a DL stint could do him wonders, right? Well Yankees seem to disagree with that and continue putting out there...he’s thrown 700+ pitches in his last 36 innings
They are significantly less scary in a playoff series if they are unable to rely on him producing at the top of their rotation. You gotta think they know winning the east is unrealistic at this point so why not give him 3 weeks off then a few starts in September before a (potential) postseason run?

Dodger's bullpen was shaky but with Kenley out indefinitely it may get ugly. They lost lost 2 games to the Rockies this weekend when the bullpen melted in the 9th.
