Taxes generally do not spur economic growth but I guess it will be different this time?
Of course they don't. However if taxes are necessary I would choose regressive taxes every time over progressive taxes.

the cost of any consumer price increase over tariffs per the individual person is nothing like tax hits through income and all other taxed areas combined.
