After it first came out and I ran all 3 characters through the story, I lost pretty much all interest. I didn't pick it back up until about a month and a half ago and I'm hooked again. Coming from someone who played D1 from the beta through to Rise of Iron.

This is completely false. It had a lot of work because it was so grindy when it first came out. But all of the raids were fantastic and by the time the Taken King came out it was awesome. I'm pretty sure I ran the Crota raid about 200 times

Well I judged a game by what I got for spending one hundred dollars for the game and expansion packs. Underwhelmed and taught a lesson to never order a game until reviews come out.
I think it’s a shitty practice to put out a meh (or at least, from my perspective, incomplete) game and redeem it through DLC packs that cost more money later on tbh

What do you keep referring to as $100? pretty sure the base D1 game with expansions was going for $69 when it first came out.

I got some DLC at launch, or at least the pass to get it later? It’s been a minute so I don’t remember well honestly but a hundred bucks left my account when I took it home.
I mean if you liked the game, that’s awesome and I’m glad you got the bang for your buck. I didn’t enjoy it.
