how bad the one loss was respectively

I really don’t get this quality of loss notion. It’s ok as part of an analysis but for to many it becomes the end all be all which is dumb.

I mean when it comes to 2 teams with basically identical resumes, nitpicking to this degree might become necessary to distinguish between and ultimately determine things I mean yeah its probably a dick thing to do but when everything else is basically similar, it might be the only remaining option to utilize that could plausibly make sense

Also, there's a lot to garner from how absolutely shitty a football team can be.

By losing to Iowa by whatever the hell it was, OSU was declaring to the world that they are capable of losing to almost every single P5 team in the country.

That's a pretty bad idea when Alabama hasn't lost by more than 14 to any team since 2007.

shite like that matters to me more than losing 1 game on the road in a rivalry game to a top 5 team.

That’s a reasonable answer. Assuming all other data is a tie but to me usually 1 team will be better, even slightly
