If O gets canned, will we actually be paying 3 head coaches next year?? When do we stop paying Les not to coach?
So what does that total look like AFTER Jan 1?
Les should be <2MM left because LSU would have paid him 4.3 for 2017 and 4.3 for 2018 of the 9.7 he had left by the end of 2016.
As far as Orgeron, his buy out after this year is 8.5 MM. so LSU can start over with a total buy out of about 10MM from both of those guys and just pay a coach what coaches make.
The first thing I would do is go after Dan radokovich. As much as I would LOVE to see Scott Woodward back in BR that isn’t happening. The guy has the most profitable AD program in the country by a mile and isn’t leaving there.
And before you tards start, look up the term “profitability”. TAMU was only second to UT in total revenue, but spent far less. Bama and other programs are so far behind that it is a joke.
They have first class facilities and are continuing to build.
We are sucking hind tit.

this misinformation continues to find it's way on here (and probably believed to be true) by misinformed people or just too lazy or with no business background.
for the umpteenth time, A&M includes alumni donations to rebuilt their stadium as athletic department revenues; an accounting procedure that other universities do NOT use. for example, LSU's Tiger Stadium additions has for years been funded by the TAF yet they are NOT included in LSU's athletic department revenues. I have no idea why the aggies do it this way. capital expenditures are accounted for separately by every organization I know of.
when you remove those contributions they have SIGNIFICANTLY lower revenues to run the rest of their department. they still have a lot and before their capital campaign had less per year than LSU. I don't know their latest revenues due their accounting crap. I do know that before they joined the sec, the aggies athletic department WAS IN THE RED. fact

Les gets $125k/mo through 2022.
His $10m buyout is being paid out monthly over 6 years

Or LSU could have paid Jimbo in 2016 and we would have been ahead of the game after les’ contract was taken care of.

Incorrect. O’s buyout STARTS at $8.5 million in 2018, as in January 1, 2018. And it goes down every time he gets a paycheck. So if he gets fired in November of this season, the buyout is about $5.2 million. There is literally an example using a date in November 2018 in his contract.
LSU has all their contracts online now:
O Contract
ETA: it’s also payable in installments with $2 million due 60 days from termination. O can be fired very cheaply this Thanksgiving if need be.
