GEO runs a pretty tight ship. They even have some immigration detention centers.

Yeah. Nothing wrong with receiving tax dollars based on the number of incarcerated people. What could go wrong?

Illegals aren’t incarcerated, silly. They are detained. They are subject to administrative procedures. They could get out any time they want. Within a matter of days. You are so silly.

The current space mission isn’t only conducted by the Air Force. The probably only cover about 60% at best. The Navy also has a large responsibility in space as does the Army. There’s a lot of overlap between a lot of people who don’t speak to each other very often. I would imagine the focus of effort is also very diluted. A Space Force is long overdue. It will, hopefully, produce a continuity of effort and focus and free up the other services to focus on their own missions. In the short term, yes, it’s possible that not much changes other than the color of the uniform. But in the long run this will be good for defense and our military’s capabilities and lead to a lot of new technologies that will hopefully benefit the private sector as well.
Good points, i'm not saying that a Space Force wouldn't be a benefit i just don't think that suddenly thousands of new recruits will be accepted to start a new branch, just that initially they will come from those already working space missions. Now convincing the army and navy to give up control of missions to a new group might take some effort.

I wasn't even talking about illegals. I was talking about people from the United States in private prisons. I get it though. You really want to talk about illegals and crime in Chicago.

So was I, silly. I even said “geo runs a tight ship. They have some immigration detention centers too”. The illegals are right here in the states. Where the detention center is. You are having a little trouble keeping up this evening. You been drinking?

So then why did you reply to my post talking strictly about illegals. I wasn't even addressing that at all. That was never added in by anyone but you. Take your own advice, numbnuts

Huh? I wasn’t talking strictly about illegals. Geo runs prisons AND detention centers. Maybe you should learn more about the subjects of private prisons if you don’t even know who does what.
I can’t teach you everything. I’m just trying to watch the end of the 9ers game. I’ve schooled you enough today.

I wasnt talking about them at all. Was talking about privately owned prisons, holding US citizens, and the tax dollars that feed their profit. Was saying it was ripe for corruption because there is more incentive to have more prisoners.
fricking duh. This is how our conversations usually go. You not on the current subject and me explaining to you.

We fought WWII with all our air forces under Army and Navy control
Of course, we could change our military approach to the IBFreeman School of Chronic Capitulation. As in your approach to the trade war, simply deny existence of provoking hostilities and accept the consequences of war the other side waged against us.
Had we used that philosophy previously, we'd have never entered WWII. Hawaii would belong to the Japanese. You'd apparently be much happier, and as a Euroasian surrogate, we'd probably have no need for a space defense.

We need to bring back Senator Proxmire's Golden Fleece Awards.

What do you people that love more military spending, love tariffs, love farm welfare and hate all immigration call your political philosophy? you certainly are not conservative or liberal or freedom loving libertarian. You are not free traders or small government advocates.
I would start by calling it following the guidelines of the constitution.
In principle, you can be pro military spending (which I currently don’t agree we should be spending more), pro wall building, and anti other forms of government spending like Medicaid and welfare because the constititution states that the federal government shall be responsible for a military to protect the country as well as regulation of immigration. It doesn’t say anything about welfare programs.
Are you familiar with the constitution or do you and your progressive buddies want to continue to ignore it and try to build your utopia? It’s ok to admit that you think you are smarter than our founding fathers.

When we say small government all we mean is a government that stays within its limits as outlined in the constitution. Please point me to the clause in the constitution that says the government should provide healthcare, college education, guaranteed jobs, and minimum basic income. That’s what we are fighting against when we say we want a small government.

Stop social welfare spending. Fix educational system. Enforce truancy laws. Many problems solved. Many jobs to be had.
Prosper.
Prosper.

Donald Trump has managed, in just shy of 24 months, to end 38 years of GOP worship of Ronald Reagan clap trap. Trump has put the lie to conservative ideology and I for one say good riddance to bad rubbish. None of the conservatives who whined about spending ever meant a word of it....look at how they all increased spending. Finally the base of the GOP is on board with increasing public spending and doing it on credit cards the way it ought to be done. So now both sides of the aisle openly understand that the only way to prosperity is increased taxation (tariffs), frick the free market with protectionism and increasing government spending! We are on the path to heights of greatness we never dreamt possible if we can only keep the damned libertarians (the free market doesn’t need tariffs or protectionism) and the few Reagan Conservatives left with their hand wringing “what about the debt” from somehow duping the smart GOP base....also known as the Trump supporters, from buying into all of that “ spending and debt is bad” horse shite we will be greater than ever.
The only path to wealth and opulence without years and years of sweat and back breaking toil is borrowing and spending. Trump understands this from his days in the real estate development bidness. The Base of the GOP is now on board with borrowing and spending and the Democrats have always been on board with borrowing and spending. That leaves about 20% of the nation who have been hit over the head with conservative ideas so hard and so often that they will never get right...bless their hearts...that’s ok...as long as 80% of the country understands that debt and spending is the path to wealth we’ll be OK....we can harbor a misguided 20%... I think y’all call them RINOs?

I don’t think your post is as meaningful as you think it is.
Is there a point where debt and spending are too high? The answer is absolutely yes to any rational person. The conversation has always been about our spending/borrowing being too high. Unless you can link to conservatives saying we shouldn’t spend or borrow anything.

Great to check in and see the trumpers know space force is fairly indefensible, so they just play along with the joke of this presidency

Of course it can be over done. We’ve never remotely came close to doing so.
All you gotta do my friend is look at the actions of Regean conservatives.....you used the correct term....conversation....it’s always been an academic conversation with the right...when in a position to do so they always cut taxes and increase collective spending because it fricking works.....Keynes has always been right.....cutting spending might work, who knows....we’ve never tried it...and why should we? We have a formula for success and a very small minority are opposed to our using it. Donald Trump and the base of the GOP is now in lock step with the Democratic Party prior to Reagan and his silliness on economic issues.....cut taxes, increase spending, impose tariffs and protect US industries and workers from foreign competition that WE subsidize. All of this libertarian, conservative jumbo jumbo is relegated to the trash heap of history and We can thank Donald Trump and the base of the GOP. Going forward we are going to see more and more politicians running on increased spending and government meddling in the market on behalf of workers....and its all due to Trump and the base of the GOP!
