Question for right wingers on the board regarding Charlottesville hatred

I'm watching the Frontline doc that just dropped on the Charlottesville rallies one year later. How concerning are these far left and far right groups posing a threat? Why was Jeff Sessions and Trump so slow to denounce White Nationalists?

The idea that white nationalists are any kind of a threat in this country is absurd. But that's the problem with modern America. Our lives are completely dominated by fear. Be it North Korea, Iran, Russia, ISIS, the local and national news essentially being a crime report, we are consistently given an apocalyptic view of the world. That constant exposure has turned modern America into an authoritarian society afraid of a shadow around the corner that doesn't exist.
