what’s funy about that?

that Kessler probably is one of the goat college punters and was that way for four years and you come up with that little tidbit to try and downplay his accomplishments, as if he'd maybe only punted one or two times in his career

Geez, I for one appreciated the tidbit as it does put the statistic in context. He’s not shitting on the guy.

Dude, no one is bashing Chad. He knocked the piss out of the ball with rarely seen regularity.

But a punter is also judged on accuracy and pinning people inside their own redzone. He didn't have that skill set. He was a home run hitter, which is perfectly fine. I wish we had him every year.

There’s a reason he didn’t get drafted. And even more of a reason he opted to go into medicine after he signed a free agent contract. He was great at kicking the ball really high. It was insane how many times folks opted not to fair catch that year and he got 15-20 yard rolls. That was the first year he sniffed 50 yds, and its because he didn’t have to worry about any short kicks. He didn’t have a great nfl career because he wouldn’t have had a great nfl career. He was a good punter. He wasn’t great.
