I have the Ulterra and vote against it. Now I would vote for the regular Minn Kota riptide as many friends have them with zero problems. My experience sucks, first time out acted weird, brought in and waited months for a "new board". Worked ok but was 25 miles offshore a couple weeks ago with my sons and brother and it acted up and gave me the flashing red light, would not stow. So luckily it was calm and I had another man and large teenager to help me go through the manual stow process. I will probably never use again because if I were by myself or younger son I could not have gotten it stowed. I felt like pulling the pin and dropping it right there at the rig. Also call MinnKota and they act surprised you are having trouble, ask the certified tech and he says the Minn Kota guys know all about the problems.

More people out there have had issues with auto deploy than have not from what I've seen.
