This isn't true for IW. It protects an entire city/area and does more than stop firepower.

Obtuse view is obtuse.

quote:

It's a fricking battle where a huge army has to be transported. This literally means nothing.

I posted the picture earlier. It is not the fact they have large transport ships. It is that the large transport ships are practically pictured in the exact same way approaching the battle.

Really? For there to be a battle, yes, the two sides have to engage. Again... nothing. That's like saying all cop films are the same because the cops have to enter a house to arrest someone. FFS.

You really are missing the point to this.

quote:

Again, this isn't some new phenomenon to either of these films.

Show me one instance where I said it was.

quote:

You mean battles aren't the focus of the plot? No. fricking. Way. Totally unique to these two films.

quote:

Whew. You're trolling. Thank goodness.

So they didn't try and take down a donut shaped ship? Interesting.

Omg. You mean one frame of one movie looks similar to another frame from another movie??? Now you've got me cornered!

You can eye-roll all you want. The idea of a bubble shield didn't originate with PM. The idea of energy shields didn't originate there either. The battle itself, the setup, and the execution were completely different. You cherry-picked the tiniest of similarities to support a narrative that doesn't exist. They were about as ignorant and generic as saying both battles took place on grass. Hell, literally one of your arguments was that the two armies had to engage.

The donut shaped ship in the first act, destroyed in the second, and wasn't involved at all with the necrominions?

So is IW cribbing off Prometheus now?
