I have seriously contemplated buying a few goats for the back yard.
In response to a few other replies, we have a few trees but not enough to warrant a zero turn. I was hoping to stay around the $1500 range if possible.

You can pick up a good zero turn used for that price.
Same advice for the OP.
I've seen several cub cadets for that price. They are decent units with a good deck.
