The Bonds deal was as official as it gets. Jim Leyland lost his shite when notified about the trade and it was subsequently nulled. Bonds of course signed with SF - and Atlanta, due to not allocating all of their cap room on that deal, had to settle for some scrub named Greg Maddux.

#2: Andruw Jones averaged 36 homers a year from 97-06. Chipper averaged 30+. Brian Jordan averaged 30 while in Atlanta. Lopez probably had the most pop behind the dish in the league aside from Piazza. Gant, McGriff, Gallaraga, Klesko, Dye, Reggie Sanders, Castilla, Giles, etc. etc. The Braves never had an issue with the long ball

What a bitch...he was gonna lose em eventually and instead got nothing for him when he signed with the Giants.
