Curious how getting around public transit work wants me to take train to hotel

Everything is in English. You can also put it in Google Maps and it will tell you what train to take and at what time. If you're flying in to Narita Airport, the Narita Express runs in to town. It'll be a lot cheaper and quicker than a car. Narita is a good ways outside of Tokyo. The ticket is ~$30. Haneda airport is right in the city and will be easy.

NEX

Osaka has several trains that take you in to the city. Just go by the JR office and they will gladly help you navigate. Thats what we did.

And by “a car” he (probably) means hiring a private car.

Me getting a rental car in Japan is not on the agenda. And I will drive rental cars everywhere else I go.

I have a nephew who was in residence in Japan for eight years (fluent speaker/reader) and when I’d visit he was my aide-de-camp.

My must sees: Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Kyoto, Hiroshima

My best surprise place to visit: Yakushima Island

Work gave very detailed plans I can figure it out I guess.

I need to figure out what to do for cellular data in Japan.

I am excited for the trip.
