Looking to do a golf trip with a friend. Price range is about $1000-2000. Ideally would not be flying, but would if the destination is far enough. Suggestions?

I mean, with your parameters, the Florida panhandle may be your best bet

Bandon in Febuary for your price range. Or if you want to drive then multiple stops along the RTJ trail or Myrtle Beach

Pinehurst would come in under that target amount I think.

How many rounds are you wanting to play/nights stay?

Played Pinehurst #2 and #4 with a night stay at the Magnolia House for around $350. But that was in February a few years ago.

Pinehurst.

Just got back, unreal experience.

Did Tobacco Road, Pine Needles, Mid Pines and Dormie Club.

4 nights, 4 rounds, breakfast every morning, a lunch on the 36 hole day, and a dinner the last night and it was $750.

You could sub out one of those 4 and play #2 with Caddies and still be well within your price range.

Also, with that price range you can potentially do whatever you want including flights.

Streamsong, Pinehurst, Scottsdale could all be done for $1kish.

At that price range I'd suggest the RTJ Trail.

Depending on when you want to go:

1. Summer Unlimited Special - $97/Day (unlimited golf w/cart & range balls)

2. Fall Unlimited Special - $112/Day (unlimited golf w/cart & range balls)

They have other specials and packages, and some courses cost a little more but overall if you're looking to golf a lot and in budget this is a great idea.

Did Kohler when LSU played in GB in 2016. It was awesome. I was a tag along with my pops and a group so I'm sure I don't want to know the cost but it was well worth it. We played Whislting Straits and Black Wolf Run. One of the best trips I have ever been on. Even with LSU blowing it in Lambeau

For under $2k I suggest flying into Grand Rapids and renting a car to drive to the northern part of Michigan. Make Arcadia Bluffs and Forest Dunes the key courses and then fill in other courses as desired (there are so many nice courses to choose from that the rates are all very reasonable). Driving between locations is not too bad.

On the return to Grand Rapids there are some nice courses to play along the way.
