I've never used First Lite, so can't compare it to Bass Pro or Cabela's merino wool products, but I have a pair of Cabela's merino wool socks and I love them. Feet stay dry and warm all hunt. I've worn them multiple days in a row out of laziness and they never stunk.
Good stuff. I don't think you need to have the big name brand stuff to get the same performance. Just look at some of the Ozark Trail products versus Yeti.

Thanks, I’m looking at some stuff on amazon that is “merino wool mid weight base layer” and it’s 1/2 as much as first lite. It’s all highly rated I’m just wanting to make sure I get the right stuff
