This whole experience has truly made me appreciate Miles.

What he did in his first 3 seasons was absolutely fantastic and his overall record was outstanding. I love being able to chalk up all regular season OOC games as a win. That was so nice. Wisconsin was the first and only loss he ever had during regular season I think?

I couldn't stand Miles his final two seasons because of frustration with the offense, but if I could do it over I would not fire him during the season. Either fire him one season sooner or fire him after that 2016 season. I figured firing him during the season would give LSU an advantage to the hiring process.. but there was no real search.. so it was all for nothing.. and all it did was give O an opportunity to make a case.. a case he would have NEVER been considered for had he not been interim. He had no valid qualifications for such a job IMO.

I still want to see LSU prove the doubters wrong this season and LSU win every single game FWIW. People are forgiving of that Troy game, but I didn't even realize just how bad it was until I watched the replay. That was a totally apathetic team and an absolutely embarrassing loss at home. O can avenge it all by winning this season, so let's see how we do.

We'll see what he's made of this coming season. It looks like he's identified all of the problem areas that were on staff last year. Are those changes going to work out? It's hard to say with some of his past hires. As bad as the Troy and State losses were, he still won 9 games.

Hopefully Burrow and the other transfers can live up to expectations and this team will be really good. I'm anxious to see how they look vs Miami, but I hope everyone doesn't overreact too much. No matter the outcome, it's still just one game.
