Don’t forget the refs reviewing to give Troy an extra play at the end of the first half to kick what ended up being the 3 point difference.
If you take a look beyond the box score, you see why. LSU’s defense couldn’t get Troy off the field. They drove down 3-4 yards at a time, 12-14 play drives and played keepaway. In the first half, LSU ended their first drive on a fumble, then had two long drives end in missed field goals. I could be mistaken, but I’m pretty sure the offense only had 3, no more than 4, possessions the entire first half.
The defense stepped up some in the second half and gave the offense more opportunities leading to a lot more points. With that said BOTH lines were absolutely dominated in that game. Troy didn’t beat LSU with finesse or spread. Troy out-physicalled LSU. They played Les Miles style smashmouth football and just ran it down our gut.

LSU scored zero points in the first half but we had no d lineman. O never takes a loss

The offense had 11 drive. 5 in the first half.
Get out of here with that weak as shite.
You go look at the box score.
