When I was a teen Arkansas was in the sw conf. They left that to go to sec. They don't want that again. They are just fine. Great school, great people. My favorite humans after Paducah, Murray, western ky.

You can make up all the fantasy CFB conferences you want but remember that those football teams are tied to athletic departments with a lot of non-revenue sports with real student-athletes. Conferences will remain somewhat contiguous for that reason.
The Big 12 is still teetering. Oklahoma is not happy being relegated to that second rate conference firmly behind the BIG, SEC, and ACC in quality.
The BIG has already sniffed around bidding for OU's Tier 3 rights to put on BTN. If that isn't a big indicator of what might happen woth OU I don't know what to tell you.
I'm guessing the BIG makes a move on Oklahoma and Kansas for their football and basketball properties, respectively.
Texas will go to the PAC or ACC, depends on what else shakes out. I am thinking ACC along with ND joining the ACC and the LHN getting repackaged or rolled into an ACC Network. ACC becomes real strong with those two additions.
The rest of the Big 12 schools should prepare to become a G level conference, adding some of the best of the AAC or MWC to survive. They will clearly be a top G conference but not a P4.
P4 conferences have their CCG become defacto National Quarterfinal games.
