I've stayed there a couple of times, though it has been a while. I was able to walk to Delay Plaza and an area with some bars and restaurants(Main St, maybe?) Both were less than a mile. Maybe 3 or 4 blocks.

Main street has City Tavern, a good pub and a couple of dance clubs. The arts district has all the museums and a few restaurants. The Farmers Market has a few restaurants. And you are a quick Uber to deep Ellum, uptown, lower greenville or Bishop Arts. But the Omni wouldn't be my first Choice and it's pricey. Really depends on where you want to hang out in Dallas.

I stayed there a couple of months ago and thought it was nice. There is a nice sports bar in the bottom of the hotel. Other than that, it's kind of in a corner of downtown near the convention center with not much else around.

Stayed a couple of years ago. We left walking seeing the sights but coming back after dark was sketchy because of a lot of homeless hanging out.
