Finished the Houston Half today in 1:49.

Congrats.

Finished the Full yesterday. Running with my wife we hit our goal. It wasn't to see how fast we could run it. It was to see how fast we could recover from it.

I feel fine today. I'm not walking funny. I didn't develop any new injury. I can walk up and down steps like it was leg day at the gym. I'm able to keep up with the kids afterwards. So I have no complaints. The weather was absolutely perfect too.

A lot can be said for going out there and pulling back, stop and visit with family that come out to watch, and be able to function the next day. We didn't start a stop watch or check out times yet. It was for her to check off no. 19 for Houston. One more to go and then it's Halfs from here on out.

Houston

How was the weather for running? I was a little depressed I couldn't run yesterday, but then was happy when the forecast said it'd be frigid. Then I got up an moving out of the house around 9:30 and it felt like it would have been a great day for a run. Granted might have felt different around 6 a.m..

2 miles Saturday and 3 miles yesterday after a 5 week hiatus. I'm sore . I think it's mostly because my cardio is still there (swimming and biking), but the legs weren't ready to run at my tempo pace. Felt super easy while running, sore the next day.
