I feel that. I love running but part of what I love about it is getting out and seeing things. If I’m staring at a treadmill screen and staying stationary I’m not getting that. Now that being said I also like being able to be competitive so if my training/the weather dictates I suck it up and hop on a tread I’ll hop on a tread but it’s always my last resort.

Quick questions for you professionals. I'm a heal first runner and reading online, it says it's a little less efficient, but as long as you aren't having pain or injuries it's ok. I tried running on the balls of my feet, but it felt extremely awkward and I couldn't continue to run like that long without wearing out my calves. I'm 40 yrs old and I could obviously work and train myself to run on the balls of my feet, but is it worth it? I'm not training for marathons or anything. The only goal I have is to do an olympic tri and that's only a 10k run.
