Vicious Dogs?

My neighbor’s two pits both just recently had puppies. For the past couple days, they’ve been running freely throughout the neighborhood. Yesterday, I witnessed both of them maul a sheep to death in their own yard.
This is the first time I have witnessed them display any type of aggressive behavior. Should I be overly concerned about this? I’ve contacted animal control about them entering my yard before. They did nothing. What should I do?

You must be trashy to live somewhere with neighbors who have pit bulls.

Just call the police and tell them somebody is in their backyard waving a gun around.
Pits will soon be dead.
Wait, did you say they had a fricking sheep in their yard???

Tore the sheep to pieces and then started eating it.

I like how you nonchalantly mention they mauled a sheep to death. It's the biggest part of the story. You should've called the cops right then

Should I be overly concerned about this?

I have called animal control about them being loose, roaming the neighborhood. Animal control said they’d have to keep their dogs in their own yard, so the neighbors put shock collars on them. That’s it.

Poison those motherfrickers. That sheep can be a child next... some times you gotta take the law into your own hands.

Isn’t that illegal?
I am concerned for the safety of my children.
Animal control is a joke.
They don’t come out immediately when called, so basically it’s my word against the neighbor.
Who is over animal control that I could contact?

Pit bulls are such trashy dog breeds. I hate them. Aggressive and ugly

Of course it’s not legal but they can’t prove you poisoned them. If animal control and the cops won’t do anything now then they sure as hell won’t do anything if a pit bull is reported as dead.
Or just tell you neighbor if you don’t keep the dogs within their property you will shoot them on site. Once that dog is on your property it’s a threat to your family and you have every right to shoot it. This isn’t something to play with. They showed major aggression already towards a sheep and I would take that as an immediate threat to my children and I would do anything necessary to protect them.

And the just dropped each a litter of about 8 puppies each. Imagine that!

Gotcha! I am confused about how the laws work. I thought for sure owners were obligated to keep pits in an enclosed area. I have voiced my concerns to both the neighbor and animal control. Shock collars need battery replacement, and I recently noticed neither had collars on.
I have had enough, but I don’t want to end up on the news for animal cruelty.

I’d call animal control everyday until they did something. I don’t know how you are gonna handle that amount of dogs but no way they are keeping all those dogs well kept. Or just sell your house and move

Is your neighbor named Noah by any chance and has he been building a large boat in the front yard? Who has sheep in an actual neighborhood yard? By the way, just shoot your neighbor first and then taking out the pit bulls will be much less complicated.

what color was the sheep?

If you live in a neighborhood with neighbors who have pit bulls, you’re probably poor.
