They are likely to be a preseason top 10 team but lost their last 3 games convincingly. Is it all based on beating ND and having a sideline gimmick turnover chain?

They murdered that notre dame team that beat LSU. But the struggled down the stretch. They have a really talented team. I think they will be good but I think LSU beats them

It certainly helps. They have some really good wide receivers, a very talented DE, and two or three stud DBs. Their OL is being reworked and their interior defensive line was gutted by attrition. They're going to rely on Gerald Willis III to be their #1 DT

It's all about perception. LSU losing to Troy/Miss St and losing to ND at the last second combined with the overwhelming negativity from the LSU fanbase is echoed nationally. Then when you add in the stat nerds who only look at spreadsheets, they'll have you believing that LSU is a 6-6 team.

Miami's fanbase on the other hand is drinking the Kool-Aid. Their defense was 28th nationally in scoring defense last year but they'd have you believing it was top 10.

ETA: In short, Miami is talented. Maybe not quite as talented as LSU but they have reasons to be hyped nationally by predictors and by their own fanbase.

They aren’t that good. They were very fortunate to not be 7-5 last year and I think they would finish 4th or 5th in the West

Will be over by half

You mean combined with the overwhelming tiger rant clan negativity. The overall fanbase doesn't share those troll's opinions.

I’m just saying if the hype is solely based on common opponents, then that gets shaky.

Miami is still a national team that will get this type of hype. They are a skilled team that are lacking just a few key pieces to being a quality club.

LSU should win but that is why they play the game.

Oh well shite then....I'll just go bet the fricking farm because Justice "believes" LSU might squeak it out.

How??? With the schitty worthless coach that we have is this going to happen?

Make up your mind....either O sucks so bad he can't possibly beat a top-10 team on the road or he can...which is it?

They can easily say the same shite about us

"I don't get the LSU preseason hype. They are a team coached by a historically underachieving coach who hires yes men and lost to Troy and Mississippi State historically. Is it based on hiring an offensive coordinator who hasn't called plays full time since the 90s?"

The only difference is LSU isn’t getting a lot of hype. They aren’t listed as a top 25 team by some and lots of 7-5, 6-6 predictions

People were downplaying Miss St last year too. A poster said he was worried about State and got an avalanche of people calling him a pussy and an idiot.

...and we were very fortunate to not be 7-6 last year.

We escaped Florida by 1 pt and Gus took his foot off the gas against us in the 2nd half against Auburn.

aww you are adorable.

LSU has good coaches. O does nothing on game day but clap and look dumb. LSU will win because he will let his coaches coach (I hope)

Oh O sucks but the team doesn’t. I have faith in aranda and ensminger.
