We didn't have car seats, or even seat belts, in the 60's. Most of us turned out OK. I can remember riding across the bridge between Natchez, and Vidalia, in the back of a pick up. You'd probably go to jail for letting a dog do that today.

This soft society just sucks us dry of everything manly. Sometimes I want to pull out my penis, and shake it in a crowd, just to let THEM know I still have it.

Yeah and you also used lead based paints and asbestos in homes, but hey, you guys were “manly” at least.

Agree. This chart makes me sick at how pussified we've become. I remember when getting your child somewhere safely really meant something.

me too. And that was on the scary two lane bridge without shoulders. And pretty sure its illegal to allow a dog loose in the bed of a truck, at least on La interstates. All of my labs loved riding.
