Gettin DeGrom would be a luxury but at what cost? I think the Cubs really like their team heading into the stretch. If KB, Yu, Morrow all come back to form, and the possibility of Smyly making an impact, then I don’t really see a need to make a move for a frontline guy that would cost at least an everyday player & prospects.

Even though the Mets reportedly were asking for current players, I still feel like we would've needed a prospect like Jimenez or Cease to pull a deal for deGrom.
