Do you need a door for the dryer to function or can I fool the machine to think the door is closed?

You may as well just hang the clothes on a line outside

A door is usually needed to keep the heat within the dryer

Are you implying that a clothes dryer is cognizant?

Just duct tape the sensor and put cellophane over the big arse hole.

gottta get hot in order to dry the clothes...I don't think it will get hot enough without a door.

ETA: why the hell would your dryer not have a door?

It sits outside so it will get plenty hot without the door.

Just microwave the clothes. Hit popcorn for permanent press and defrost for delicates.
