Director of Player Development Micah Gibbs is leaving program for a job outside of baseball. No replacement will be hired. What’s your thoughts Project?

He's still going to be working in baseball. He's going to work for a company that is currently golf focused but they are bringing him in to help translate their technology to baseball.
Mainieri said his duties will be split among the other guys on the staff but he hopes to have another full time person in that role at some point.
I think Eddie Smith is already pretty in tune with advanced analytics and tech, so I don't think this will have a big impact. Also, some of the stuff he would have been doing can be contracted out to third party companies that have popped up in the past few years.
