Meat consumed probably varies from 24-30 ozs per day. However i think i could be eating more. NY strips, ribeyes, etc are great but ive been eating a lot of chuck roasts on the pit. My routine for about 2 months was 6-8 lbs of chuck roast on the smoker at about 220deg for about3.5 hrs. Every Sunday. That would get me to Thursday or so. Yes, eating lots of eggs also. Averaging 2-3 eggs each morning with leftover meat. Goddamn delicious.
Just bought half a cow, 280lbs. Everything cut for the pit except the round, which i ground. Grassfed animal, averaged $4/lb cut and vaccuum packed. All fits in a standard upright freezer. Thats the way to go. Clean eating and variety. Its expensive upfront, yes. But convenient
ETA cutout most dairy. Still like grassfed butter in my coffee in the mornings, a poor mans caveman coffee. i heard about a year ago by someone affiliated with caveman that clean fats are "good brain food". I thought my brain could use all the help it could get so i started with the butter. Ive since read that the brain actually burns carbs for fuel like the rest of the body. Makes sense as ive never felt a benefit other than its delicious and satiating. I plan to cut that out eventually, always looking to simplify in a minimalist way.

quote:The average human brain requires ~4g of glucose per day to power itself. That is child's play for your metabolic processes/organs to generate daily. Please don't cut out the dairy!
