This is the mindset I was referencing in that other thread.

This isn’t a mindset of learning from the past. You are drowning yourself with it.

How does that view of the USA benefit you in any way?

ISO, all you are doing is holding yourself down by continuing to focus on ancestral problems.

You will very likely disagree, but nothing in 1776 involving slavery affects you now. The positives gained from the American Revolution sure gives you a boost though.

How is it that people can’t focus on the positives?

I do focus on the positives. In this country in the present time I have a lot of great opportunities. In the past, that would not be the case. Is that offensive for me to say?
