This is what happens when we won't let them have nuclear power. You would think a place like Egypt would be prime territory for solar panels though.

It would be ideal for solar.
Here is what I do don't get, a 500 megawatt coal plant uses about 6200 gallons per minute at full load. Where the he'll is that water coming from in the desert?
