Stranger things have happened. The reds were big underdogs initially in Russia 100 years ago. In Germany in the 1920s, nobody would have predicted the nazis would be running the government a few years later.

Honestly, the left is more violent and they are consumed with ideology.
The right views them as an annoyance and we just go on about our business.
There isn't going to be a civil war. If there's an outbreak of fighting and civil disobedience then all that will happen is America will be even more of a police state.
