the same thing still remains true. Their market needs our consumers more than we need their products.

While true, politics plays a bigger role than economics here.

Jinping is not willing to take the political hit that would accompany loosing a trade war to Trump. He’s more than willing to scramble for smaller market alternatives to the US before he ‘bends the knee’ to a foreign power. He’s just not going to capitulate when he is right on the verge of locking in a virtual dictatorship. He just needs to get to 2020 when the chinese citizen score citizen goes into full effect and he’ll be able to swiftly crush any political dissent. Until then, his only objective is avoiding the look of weakness.

If y’all are banking on Jinping giving in, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. Just remember that we warned you when prices start to escalate.

Exactly, does anyone think those countries markets combined equal the US market?
