I’ll be in London during the quarterfinals, hoping England can make it through so I can watch their match.

Regardless, I’d like to catch a match or two in a great atmosphere. Any recommendations? I’d imagine any local pub would be a good spot, but curious if there are any specific recs the soccer board could provide.

TIA.

Sir Winston is English so he can probably chime in. I believe he and engvol are our only regulars that’ve spent considerable time over there

My daughter is there now. It's the WC, you can watch a match anywhere.

Every pub will show the match

Central London will def be more expensive, i usually tend to stay north of the river but there are some good places once you cross near borough market

North London by King Cross has plenty of places, i used to watch a lot of matches at the Euston Flyer.

You really can't go wrong

and if they win the streets will be madness

I lived over there during the 2014 WC it was nuts

That's what I figured, but I also thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

o you fancy

Yea just tube it to central London and there will be plenty of place.

Tons of bars and pubs in the Soho/Chinatown area and everything will be crowded already with so many tourist in those areas.

You're the second person to say something like that.

Honestly I didn't know anything about the area, it just seemed fairly centrally located and the AirBnB looked nice.

I'd like to avoid the more tourist-filled spots if possible to watch a match, but that may be unavoidable.

Its London, the only non tourist areas you will really find are in East and South London.

I don't recommend going there
