I didn't like the 3.0 panoramic wifi router.. it was a pain to get it into bridge mode and then later adjust the settings. I always had to reset it to change settings.

I really like their new 3.1 panoramic one that is for Gigablast.

I am still trying to decide if I should keep the 3.1 rental or use my own modem and router.

To rent theirs it's $10 for me. How did you get it for no charge?

On the new Panoramic it is super simple to turn their modem into bridge mode (making it a modem only) and hooking up your own router. The one you linked gave me some trouble. I believe the reason you want to turn the dual modem/router combo into bridge is so that if you use your own router they don't compete against each other's wifi.. causing a bad signal? I'm no expert though.

By the way, I highly recommend getting a Linksys switch with multiple ethernet ports if you end up selling your router. It's so helpful! I got an 8 port ethernet switch for like under 20 bucks and it is well worth it.

Don't know if anyone is interested, but I just switched to Eatel from Cox due to their data cap. I've got a 3 month old Netgear CM1000 DOCSIS 3.1 gigabit capable modem that I'm going to put in storage or sell on Ebay unless someone wants to make an offer. I even got a 4 year Squaretrade warranty on it and it appears that I can transfer it.
