The only schools that have been close to that level are the U, Pete Carroll’s USC teams, and Bowden’s FSU teams that finished ranked in the Top 5 for 14 straight years

Miami in the 80s was better than Bama so were Nebraska in the 90s, Army in the 40s and OU in the 50s
