Every time I see a Flynn thread, I think about something that happened in the '07 year.

I don't remember who we were playing, but Flynn took off on a scramble and picked up a good chunk of yardage and a first down. He gets up, and someone knocks helmets with him to congratulate him(in my memory, it was Chase Pittman, but after looking him up, he wasn't on the '07 team). When that happened, it broke Flynn's chinstrap.

I remember the talking heads replaying it, because he feels that his chinstrap is broken, realizes he doesn't have time to replace it, then falls down and grabs his knee like he's injured.

I've searched again and again and can't find a video of this, but I know it happened.

Same, but after assuming all these years that it was Chase Pittman to have that turn out wrong, I didn't want to assume that. I'd love to see a clip of it, if anyone has it.

Well Chase played D obviously so was it someone on the sideline? If so it could have been Kirstin Pittman?

No telling. In my mind it was always Chase Pittman. Did we have an o lineman in '07 that slightly resembled Chase?

Isn’t that what also happened to Hester on the TD against FL that put us up late?

The broken chin strap was vs Bama 07. Early three Flynn a bomb on a trick play. Then the whole fall down thing. I believe Verne was going nuts because we didn’t have Perrilloux (though he’d earlier gone nuts because he thought we did, but it was Kelvin Sheppard .... oh that Verne!)

Anyway, apparently we called timeout. I didn’t remember that part. Guess they didn’t wanna put Hatch in to handoff/ burn a down

Yes. I think his chinstrap came unsnapped and he got sand in it, which clogged up the snap and wouldn't let him close it.

Does Flynn live in Baton Rouge, or is he on the telephone for this?
