Not a millennial here, and I, too, must have missed the newspaper article that 20% is the standard.
TBH, I'd rather tip a total, rather than a %. For example, why should I tip a waiter more $ for bringing me one $5 bottle of beer than one who is constantly there to refill my $2 cup of coffee?
