Let's all keep in mind, there are legal things and there are things that are just right. Maybe he should not be dq'd because the rules don't call for that. But in a fair and just world what he did was wrong. And probably demeaning to his stature in the game.
He's going to catch some crap for this for a while and should. I thought David Duval had a great point if he was going to do this when the ball came to stop he should have just declared unplayable and gone back up and replay the putt again. Which would have been a tremendous advantage since he had seen the putt once.

The day I give 2 shits what Brandel Chamblee thinks, I’ll jump off a fricking bridge. The commentators are the only ones who really care. It’s a story they get to write about instead of the course being a joke this afternoon.
