Because West Africans generally dominate African soccer because skill sets of short area burst and muscle mass and body control, matter more than long distance endurance, which is more of an East African trait.
Most Americans don't realize the Sahara desert is bigger than the United states.
Just like different populations are different based on geographic space, that is a fair assessment of different populations in Africa.

Haha those aren't the reasons they dominate. You go pick your 11 absolute athletic prototypes and I'll take 11 Andrea Pirlos and we'll see who has a better team
