It is puzzling to me that the same media that made it a huge issue that trump's first year was unproductive is completely ignoring various pieces of legislation he has signed into law recently. The data shows that trump is right on track with the historical average of presidents in terms of legislation signed.

quote:

President Trump signed a new veterans bill into law Wednesday that will allow people who have served in the military to seek care at private sector medical facilities, fulfilling a promise he made early on in the 2016 election to provide veterans with greater access to healthcare.

It is just annoying at how the goalposts get moved.

I think that a lot of people just tune them out as background noise as of now.

That is an extension of an Obama Program for vets to seek civilian doctors care due to VA waiting list problems, program started around 2014.

The leftist narrative seems to be that this is just one step towards privatizing the VA and therefore it is bad.

This is literally one of the simplest fixes imaginable. End the VA medical system. Keep a very small core group of folks who process VA disability applications (obviously, keep the VA educational and loan benefits, but administrative demands of those programs can be pushed largely onto universities and lenders, with only oversight by a core unit that could probably be absorbed by the Department of Defense) and give every disabled veteran Medicare.

Boom - instant billions of savings.

Drove 3 hours to Durham VA on the 26th for a 12pm appointment to have my eyelids cut on.

Got there early at 11:15 hoping to be seen and get home before dinner. Finally got called back at 245pm.

I asked if they got over booked. She said the first patient walked back because they misheard the name, got almost into surgery before saying they were just there for an eye exam.

These retards don't even verify patient info before surgical procedures.
