I remembered talk of this coming up in a thread some time ago. 38 years is quite the career!

I remember WAFB doing a story a while back (can't remember the topic) and they showed some 1-2 minute clip about it. There was a part in the clip that couldn't have been more than 2 seconds where a black guy was grilling meat. After this video they come back to Donna and she says "That sure looked like some good bbq!" I lost my shite. It had absolutely nothing at all to do with the story.

Farewell, Donna

ALS is a tough thing for people to go through. My grandmother died with ALS. She went downhill fast.. It's not easy seeing someone gradually lose their ability to pretty everything...

Good for her. She broke many glass ceilings and was very respected in her field. Enjoy retirement, Donna.

This is very sad. She has fought ALS as hard as she could for as long as she could to keep working her job, but apparently the disease has become too much of an obstacle. What a horrible affliction ALS is.

I hope she finds peace and comfort in her retirement.

She's long been annoying and kind of a bozo, but I wouldn't wish ALS on anyone. Such a horrible condition. I heard her recently on a 6:00 broadcast and she was really struggling. I know she probably desperately wants to continue to have a "normal" life to the degree that is possible, but it is time.

I don't even know her, but my heart breaks for her. ALS sucks!
