Even with the remnants of the disaster that was Obamacare, we still have by far the best healthcare system on the planet. Plenty of other countries (looking at western Europe) have the US paying for their defense, have a populace in better physical shape, and they still have long wait times and shitty care. The US is far and away the the most technologically advanced country in the healthcare industry.

You have to grasp what a risk pool is in any situation. I'm flabbergasted how the notion is political at this point

We have long wait times and shitty care here though. And we have insurance companies that deny treatment and pay little even when they approve things. Prescription drugs alone are just abysmal.
