It's funny how lawyers with jobs at these firms all without fail don't like to see raises.
For anyone who doesn't know why, it's because biglaw is really bad at raising salaries late in a cycle, so it's seen as a sign of a market correction and losing your job.
*A first year salary increase results in all current older attorneys getting a bump as well.
