Bringing these two principals from highest performing schools to the lowest will not help. The make up of the student body will remain the same.

i went to one of the "highest performing elementary schools mentioned" i don't want to get banned, but guess why these two schools are the highest preforming? lowest minority mix?

I know the ex principal that was at simmesport or "riverside". I can only imagine what hell she was put through while she was the principal there. i saw she was recently transferred to cottonport.

the desegregation in 88 was the worst thing to happen to that parish. the pariah basically had community schools, but some federal arse clown decided it was a good idea to mix it up and star busing kids around the parish so they could blend everyone together. that first week was hell is all i can say.

All of this x 1000! Allen Holmes did not file the original suit because he was concerned about racial equality in the schools. It is pretty well known that he was paid by some higher ups to file the suit to make consolidation happen. These higher-ups wanted to see larger schools for several reasons, one being was for Bunkie to have access to the atheletes in Cottonport at the time. Allen Holmes is a race-baiter but he would have remained in the shadows if not for the backing of these individuals. Worst part is that he still gets toured around the campuses in Avoyelles Parish every year like he is some royalty that has come to check on the peasants. That lawsuit has been the biggest set back in Avoyelles Parish the last 30 years. Now the school board is concerned about parents wanting to open up another charter school. You reap what you sow.
