Stop UK knife violence now! Ban pointy kitchen knives.

So says a retiring UK judge.
The foot of the slippery slope comes into view...
Assault knives are too pointy.

Correction, the UK is now metric. So, it's "Give them a centimeter and they'll take a kilometer."

When I read this I can't help but thing of some of the scenes and visuals from 1984. Orwell describing the boiled cabbage. Just ridiculous that its within possibility one day
