I feel like it is a fairly logical assumption that a society might not be able to function as intended if it allows people to cover up and be unidentifiable in any and all public interactions.

I can without a doubt say from a simple, clear logical standpoint it would make sense to not allow this. VERY clear sense. The type that is SO clear you might struggle to see it at fisrt.

I don't really care, but someone thought it as necessary to start a thread on it so I replied asking if there was a legitimate reason why the law was passed.
I didn't realize that being against a government mandated dress code was so taboo around here.
