The NCAA is not a party to this issue, and doesn't have to solve it...nor should they. Inevitably, this will negatively affect some other team.

Where did I say they were trying to solve anything? I actually said quite the opposite. They are trying not to interject themselves into a political issue by not doing something they know would cause one. The NCAA would, however, become a party to all of this if they sent a school to one of those states knowing full well the state legislature would prevent those schools from traveling to those states.

they should not be catering to these states. Just don't let them play in the tournament

This is a ridiculous point of view.

Some of you have absolutely no perspective. Not surprising.

That's a twisted set of facts there. The point being made is the NCAA is manipulating the bracket to prevent the scenario from occurring. The NCAA should NOT being doing that. Somebody will eventually (if not already) get screwed over that action.

What perspective is being missed? Funding for schools is different depending on many factors. Some schools are private. Some may be public but do not get funding for the State for athletic travel. And, in this case, some may restrict funding for travel for any number of reasons.

The NCAA should not consider that at all. Every team needs to be able to fund its travel to the tournament. It's that simple. If that team, or a team's state decides that it's more important that tax dollars aren't spent to travel to Mississippi, that's fine.

It sounds to me like your heart is aching at the idea of a team having to fund its travel without public money...but are unwilling to place the blame or require the solution of that problem to sit with those that made it so.

In short, you are coming across as a bleeding heart.
