I’ll take my first turn at a DAT.

Ludlow. In case you haven’t been paying attention, we just blew our 7th save of the season last night, which includes 3 in the last 3 games (twice in the 10-9 loss to Cleveland).

I hope we get the Keuchel from the 2015 wildcard game, and the offense finally figures out Severino. Our record for this trip won’t be nearly what it should or could of been had our bullpen not gone to complete crap. Shame.

Not saying we don't need the bullpen help but I feel a lot of our guys are underperforming as well during the last couple of weeks. Maybe it's a reverse affect of our starters going deep.

Technically that's not true... but yeah... it sure feels like it.

Joe Smith has been the best Astros reliever lately with a 1.13 ERA and a .38 WHIP in May.

Joe. Smith.

McHugh has a lower ERA in May at .75, but he has a higher WHIP at 1.17 and did give up that HR in Cleveland.

Keuchel is good for 5 innings and 3+ runs.

Too many for a game w Severino pitching.

We can't throw Verlander again after this collapse like the last time.

Astros sealed their fate in the 9th last night. 2 leadoff walks lead to horrible AB w the manager playing for a big inning instead of getting the 1 run that would secure the win.

1 walk was too many for the Astros to bear, giving up a pop fly HR in that Dixie Youth RF at Yankee Stadium.

Yankees are the team of destiny this year getting all the breaks. Even historical starting pitching can't bail out Hinch's Mainieri-esque bullpen moves this year.

A lot of bad luck and bad timing. When Hinch goes by the book, he gets burned. When he goes against it, he gets burned. There really have been some of these multiple run leads we've lost that I feel Hinch made the ONLY moves that could have caused a bad outcome.

And I'm not bashing him. Still Team Hinch. Liked his fire Sunday getting ejected.
