You perfectly described my dad’s truck. 2002 Silverado still going strong at 220k Miles. But it’s needed a new dashboard, the center console lid hinge broke, window motors, various other little things. Still a great truck but GM interiors just don’t last.

Actually no 4x4. it’s the TSS package though with the 20” black rims.

i also found a 2015 1794 for 35k with 44k miles. seems like it may be a better truck altho a few more miles.

There are some a little cheaper but actually not by a lot.

You Toyota Fanboys are the worst. If the tundra is so perfect, why do they never win any comparison test ever?

I had a lot of these issues with a 96 4Runner,which is basically the holy Grail of reliability. Acting like Toyota is immune to these issues in this day and age is just laughable. Toyotas are great vehicles, but they aren't the only ones. And their full size trucks aren't the best in class.

This.
Tundra has been dead last for years now.

Materials in 2018 are miles and miles better than 2002. At least for the higher trims.

Is the Silverado new? If so how is that possible.

This. The last three vehicles I bought were all in Nov. Bought the present year models instead of the new models just coming out. Save a helluva lot of money doing it. My first purchase lasted ten years until a deer totalled me out in 2003. Still driving my Tundra I purchased in 2003, $5,000 cheaper than the sticker price. No major repairs so far with 168 thousand on it. Wife got a new 4-Runner in Nov2008. I think we saved 4 grand on it. She is still driving it. One major repair about 6 months ago. She has about 125 thousand on it.

We live in a great time when there are so many good truck options. I still check out other trucks while driving around, wondering if I should’ve bought a different brand. They’re all good. Except Nissan.

Guy at work has one. Even with larger tires that monster looks like it is riding on aspirin tablets.

You keep watching these so called "comparison test" and i will go with real world everyday work experiences.
The toyota is hands down a better built truck that holds it value better and holds up better overall than that Chevrolet he is looking at.
Have you had a tundra? Do you own the chevy? Ive had both as work and personal together. The tundra is the winner here.

7 of the top 10 are toyotas.
Show me one chevy in that list or ford?

Go for the Silverado. Can you believe the truck prices these days?

Just stop. Every work site has minimum 10:1 Ford/Chevy compared to Toyota. You have your opinion. It is not gospel.

All I can say, A buddy of mine has a '14 Tundra and I have a '15 Silverado..
Every time he rides in my truck, he tells me how more of a smoother ride my truck has...
But I think both trucks are worth it...
