Literally every ally in the region favored the peace talks.

BTW- do you understand that this isn't over yet? It's the beginning not the end of the process.

He’s right so rarely. I’ve liked a few things. We agree that Ivanka is hot.

Also, here’s a fact: this is Exact. Same. Deal. North Korea always agrees to, and always rolls the other side, whether it’s us, the UN, or South Korea. Trump bought it because he wanted the “historic meeting” and the ratings.

He’s as simple as he seems to be.

I hope this goes 100 pages and FT never gives in. I asked for admins to sticky the thread, but no such luck. We can keep this rolling.

I was a pretty decent soccer player. Never hit a kid in the face, though. My shots we more accurate.

I’m also enjoying that there’s no substance being discussed. I posted a better deal from 1992 that mirrors the platitudes from this meeting, and it was miraculously unaddressed.

North Korea never agreed in the past to give us identified POW remains like they did just now, so that there is a difference, and a pretty important one for lots of families.

I’m glad they said they’d do that. Given the track records, I would not want those families to get their hopes up.

You are literally assuming this is the end, not the beginning, of the process. Your entire premise is false.

And it’s starting in exactly the same way they always start. North Korea has a playbook, and they always roll whoever it is that signs onto it.

BEIJING, Monday, Sept. 19, 2005 - North Korea agreed Monday to end its nuclear weapons program in return for security, economic and energy benefits, potentially easing tensions with the United States after a two-year standoff over the North's efforts to build atomic bombs.

The United States, North Korea and four other nations participating in negotiations in Beijing signed a draft accord in which the North promised to abandon efforts to produce nuclear weapons and re-admit international inspectors to its nuclear facilities.

Foreign powers said they would provide aid, diplomatic assurances and security guarantees and consider North Korea's demands for a light-water nuclear reactor.

This president doesn’t frick around like the 4 weaklings that preceded him. He’s the FIRST to ever meet the NOKO leader in person. Just acknowledge that this alone is pretty monumental and that with how differently and unconventional as Trump operates, this might go differently.

Stop digging.
